My 2010 E63
#36
power
I just went over 1000 miles in my 2010 E63 and now have been driving it in either "S" or "S+" while turning the traction OFF. It is much more responsive off the line, no delays, it starts in 1st gear and now you have to be careful not to spin the tires. If you leave it in "C" it starts in 2nd gear, and the traction will interfere lightly, thus the feeling that the car doesnt have much low end power... but the beast lies within.
I have a feeling my rear tires will not last long now that I have the "AMG" button set to "S+" and the one light on for the shock firmness setting... then I hit the traction off and the tires light up with the greatest of ease! The exhause is great.
I traded up from my 2009 C63 after one year... reason... wanted a larger car with the same guts. I will admit the C63 has more low end as it it lighter and you feel the difference in off the line starts and cornering. The C63 went thru alot of rear tires even taking it easy... it just would not stay planted... that is a good thing!
I also have the use of a 2010 SL63 in the family and that by far is the king of all three, if anyone wants a hot AMG sports car, the SL63 is THE ticket.
