My wife took my C63 and then immediately put on a "bling" license plate causing me to look for another toy. I am looking at a CLK Black (or GTR) but am wondering if it is going to be too similar to the C63? Anyone own both and if you do are they too similar? I drove one and the Black appears to be better balanced but interior wise it is similar (minus the Bling lic. plate )

I'd go with a GTR

 

i was debating between C63, Clk63 Black, GT-R, V8 Vantage just 3 months ago, GT-R was my pick.

 

I have been in a GT-R, CLK 63 blk and CLK 63 AMG.

GT-R = Fastest, most brutal
CLK Blk series = Easy car to drive w/ tons of power
CLK 63 amg = more "comfort" orient version of the Black series

You think that the interior is similar? I have to 100% disagree with this one. I almost got the c63 over my turbo and I spent some time in the ****pit. The interior on that car is "Jap-ish" to me compared to the clk black (only drove once) that was much much better quality.

The look, quality, ride and drive is not comparable. There is just something spectacular about the ride of the clk where the c was almost boring to me.

Drive it, I promise you will see what I mean

 

CLK63 amg is for sunday mall outings. CLK Black is an amazing machine, but out of these choices i'd pick the GTR as well

 

****pit is sensored? As in airplane ****pit? Is there a politically correct way to refer to that?

 

Black Series all the way. I think of the Black Series as a semi-exotic vs a "normal" AMG as more of a really fast grocery getter. All great cars though so I don't think you can go wrong.
