OEM wheels for CLK500?

Hey all, I'm new to this side of the forum...I usually spend my time in the 996tt section. I bought a 2004 CLK 500 (W209) about a year ago and was wondering if anyone knows the specs for the OEM wheels. The car came with some ghastly ghetto chrome 19"s with about a 1mm sidewall . I hate the ride and have shredded 3 or 4 tires now because of the city streets around here . I want to go back to stock AMG wheels. Were they 18s or 17s? Width and offset? Any help would be great, even if it's a link to a site that has the info

I believe that stock was 205/55R16. This link has a pretty good chart that shows the MB combinations, AMG combinations and some of the aftermarket tire/wheel combos.

I wish I had a reason to spend more time in the 996tt section!

That's a GREAT link, thanks. Rep for you . After looking there, I'm actually thinking the OEMs on this car were the upgraded AMG 17s because it's the 500--I could be wrong though. Thank you kindly for the link

Yes, they are 17's - and I have a set taking up space in my garage right now!!!!!! I took them off my CLK500 back in March 2003 (!) and they have been boxed up and stored ever since.
LMK if you are interested.

Hi, why do you need original wheels? Where are many nice wheels that can be fitted at your car...
