C63 market
C63 market
What is going on with the C63 market? Are people expecting more trunk money again this year? I just spoke w/ my sales guy who I purchased my 2010 from, and he said Mercedes learned its lesson from the last 2 years and have kept #'s a bit lower than demand. Hence no TM.
There is "Conquest money" ($4K for BMW etc. owners to buy a Mercedes) but nothing like the 10-15K we saw in the last 2 years.
I ask, because I put my 2010 C63 up for sale at $53K and have not received a lot of interest: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...s-c63-amg.html
I did my research and most cars like mine (loaded w/ everything but the P 31) were going for $55-59K.
Am I missing something? I know the economy is bad but I would think that a pristine example at $53K would generate offers.
Thanks

Not for nothing, but my local dealer had a 2010 C63 a few months back. it was brand new and my buddy(salesperson) could have done around what you are asking
These days do not buy an AMG for sticker. You will get killed on the sale

That would explain a lot. However there are no 2011's available and the true market cost via Edmunds shows that most went for about 3K less than msrp. Fortunately I got a pretty good deal when I bought her.

I ended up trading mine (08 C63) in for the same reason...very little interest. I did get a few nibbles but after several weeks I went ahead and traded it. Funny thing is the dealer gave me what I would have sold it for plus I got another $3k on the tax credit for the trade so it ended up working out well. Now that there is a revised 2012 model selling the 08-11 models isn't going to get any easier...

How bad do you think owners of 2010 and 2011 E63 AMGs feel???
They have the new body style and it runs for 2 years unchanged and for 2012, they are going to a 5.5 twin turbo. WHO is going to want the 6.2 n/a engine models??? I bet you will be able to pick those up for a song and dance when the 2012 E63 hits the dealers.
I think i will be trading my 09 in. The tax credit makes the wholesale trade in value a little less painful
