Satin Guard paint protection film - NOT MATTE VINYL
*approximately 3-4 times thicker than vinyl, Satin Guard is a translucent paint protection film (similar to clear bra) that is enhanced with satin metallic flakes.
*it is also highly oil resistant, so finger prints and oils do not show up like matte vinyl

Spectra PhotoSync Nano Tint
*blocks out 98.5% of infrared rays. What does this really mean? For comparison purposes, regular dyed window tint only blocks out 20%-30% of infrared.

After removing the old tint, we start prepping for Spectra PhotoSync 45% to be installed to the car.

Is the satin wrap material comparable in price to the 3M matte vinyl? Is installation any harder?

 

Satin Guard is actually much more durable and is not vinyl. This product is 2-3 times thicker than vinyl and a form of paint protection film. The manufacturer is Prestige Film Technologies (www.prestige-films.com)

Installation is harder if there is no experience with paint protection film (aka clear bra) installations.

Now this tint performs. Up to 98.5% of infrared rejection and 65% Total Solar Energy Rejection, you do not have to go dark to get a decent amount of heat blockage.
