New to me E63

Option Codes. Seems to be well appointed. But if I'm missing goodies let me know

So I figured I would try an AMG for the first time. So I looked for a well maintained car and recently pulled the trigger on a 2012 E63. Designo Diamond White/Beige Interior. I like the understated and neutral color combo.

I just wanted to stop in and see if anyone had any input on special attention these cars need in particular. Also if anyone had fun stories to share about E63 ownership. My Daily driver as of recently is Audi A8L. So it's a much different car to experience of course. But I began to miss my 993 Turbo greatly and needed something that could still haul the kids if needed.

The car seems well optioned. I like the ammenities. It has more usable space inside than my wife's CLS550. But similar overall dimensions and weight. So it feels familiar in that aspect

Relatively low mileage (36k mi) so I figure it shouldn't need much at the moment.

I will say. Much more firm ride quality in the AMG cars compared with the standard E-Class

Meeyatch1 is an unknown quantity at this point
Congratulations on the wonderful car. Just make sure to stay up on the maintenance, because most people get in trouble when they start putting things off until later. Beyond that the car will be bulletproof. I had mine up until 123,000 miles and loved it. We took it on multiple trips per year to Canada and spent over 600 miles per day in it. Enjoy the power, comfort, and luxury. They are truly special cars.

That's great news! I recently took it to the dealer to gt a few odds and ends taken care of and they were able to get all the maintenance records for me.

Currently needs nothing which is great.

I got the second key, a new "start" button, full set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires, wheel locks etc. I think I really like this car. It does seem special.

AMG power E63 is on a distinguished road

I got the wagon 2012, i switched the front grill and added the AMG badge, which I think makes it more aggressive looking.

I have an e63 wagon as well. It has all the options and has been modified by RENNtech to have 701hp and 839tq. It is a great road trip car and crazy fast. We have driven to Chicago and back from Jacksonville Florida and it was supremely comfortable on the road. My son has a twin turbo Porsche and he broke into laughter when he drove the wagon and said “ so this is what an extra 200 hp feels like”.

Twins...!

get some downpipes and a tune and you're all set

40k mile maintenance is coming up so make sure you get that done.

After that, its oil changes for a while.
