How many quarts...9+? are there more than one drain plug?
My 1st oil change is coming up and I would like to do the change
myself....since the dealer is taking a day to complete this.

 

I can't answer your specific questions, but I can say that using an oil extractor to pump it out through the dipstick tube would probably be easier than draining via the plug at the bottom of the pan. Pumping out the 8-8.5qt and replacing takes about 20 mins on my CLK using this method and doesn't require jacking up the car or risking any spilled oil. Pela is one of the companies that makes the extractors if you are interesting in going down this route.
