Check the big 60 to 130 thread on Rennlist for photos and 60 to 130 times.
My old man picked one up just under a year ago, needless to say the lease was not as good then
Fantastic acceleration, no doubt. Still a handful in the twisties but it holds its own. Just not something I would describe as tossable but if you need the space its hard to beat.

I just can't stand the thought of having so much power without the control over it a manual tranny offers.
Enjoy it, I'm sure its comfortable.

Bill - Congrats!! I love the new-gen "63" AMGs....
Congradulations Bill on your new purchase, I like the E63 as I am an MB addict.
If you are looking for modifications there is an Ecu update, Headers "Renntech or Kleemann" , BMC Filters, Secondary catalytics removed and an X pipe as a replacment for the resonator.

Ecu can be done via renntech or kleemann or at the vendors in mb world, Headers go for Kleemann as they are cheaper from what I hear and even come with sport catalytics, p.s make sure they come with them.
X pipe and secondary catalytics can be removed at any exhausts specialist again make sure they use stainless steel pipes, makes the car sound louder and more free flowing.
Lastly you can check on mbworld.org the charcol filters removal instructions and then add BMC or any drop in filters for extra 2-3hp and better mpg.

Congrats on your purchase! With all this talk about the 55 power vs. 63 finesse I'd love to see an E55 vs E63 video - from a roll and a stoplight drag! I am very curious of the outcome! I'm sure each has its own areas of advantage.
