I'm new to the forum here, but have been reading 6speed for quite awhile. I remember seeing Shank's old SL600 on custom BBS LMs, and used to drool over the damn thing. Busted *** and finally got myself a S500.

I'm local to the DC area... I think I've seen blackbenz's car twice, once on the highway, as well as at HiN in Dulles. I'll try to get a picture up of my car soon, but proud to finally be posting as opposed to lurking for so long haha!

blackbenzz, I think I've seen both of your cars:

- Once when I was going down 495 towards Tysons, you were in your silver CLK (the one in your sig I think).

- Other time was at HiN and I didn't even know it. Didn't put two and two together until I saw your car I think on MBWorld, and you had the Kleemann CLK55 with the gold rims.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Dunno bout the chrome wheels... not really too big of a fan of chrome on an S. I saw the worst rims on a S500 the other day in Georgetown, almost made me puke. The typical $2K 20" chrome wheel package with crappy low profile tires that start to disintegrate at 10 mph... not really my style. I'd love to get a set of Kleemann TS-6, but after reading how poorly they handle bumpy roads, I've been turned away. As those local to VA, DC, and MD know our roads suck!

 

Welcome abroad the W220 is the best s-class.
