Saw one the other day, and fell in love! Been thinking about picking one up. My main concern is whether the resale value is going to plummet like the last model. What do you guys think?

Hold out for a year, and pick one up off the used market. You will kick yourself in the butt for buying one brand new, and then seeing what one could go for a year later with low miles. Perfect find would be one right off a 1 year lease with less than 5,000 miles.

Let me know, I kind of do this thing, I can put a few eyes out on the market to let me know when something comes around...

The answer to plummeting resale value is simple - LEASE.

Let the bank worry about depreciation.

leasing could be a possibility... but aren't I supposed to pay all cash up front... isn't that the 6speed way?

You guys are right. I should wait a year and let someone else pay the depreciation. But by then, there will be a "new" car that I want, whose name starts with Pan and ends in era. Probably wouldn't make too much sense for me to get this right now, but who says I havve to be sensible.

well if you had done it the 6speed way, this thread wouldn't exist and there'd already be a shiny new benz in your driveway

Do a 27 mos. lease, which could be cheaper than 39 mos.

Panamerrrrrrrra is still 1.5-2 years from hitting our shores.

If do not mind traveling down to SoCal, I used to sell MBs at MB of South Bay and Laguna Niguel, I can get you hooked up.
