Renntech's My CL65 Today - WOW!
Renntech's My CL65 Today - WOW!
Holy Sh&*! This car is a BEAST!
I was a little concerned when I did a baseline dyno stock as it was a little low. After picking it up today, they said its one of the strongest cars they have ever done and they have done a alot of 600's and 65's locally.
It only has the Renntech ECU, TCU and 100 Octane Flash.
It was dyno'd on a "Dyno Dynamics" which reads roughly 8-10% lower than dyno's such as "Dyno Jet" and about 5% lower than "Mustang Dynos".
The car put down 575RWHP and 801RWTQ
Now the owner of the shop said their conversion for their "Dyno Dynamics" dyno is 1.29, I would say to be safe calculate around 125-126. So multiply these numbers by 1.29 roughly and thats the what's at the flywheel.
Estimated Flywheel HP is: 740 HP
Estimated Flywheel TQ is: 1033 TQ
Stock the car made 453RWHP and 592RWTQ on the same dyno, same day.
The car is insane! Its spins the tires in the 1st 3 gears at any speed
You can be doing 50mph and stomp on it and you will get instant wheel spin. I have never truly experienced this much Torque, it makes your head hurt!
Now for comparision, my Protomotive 996TT put down the following #'s on the same Dyno back in December with 100 octane fuel and high boost setting: 479AWHP and 540AWTQ
Now, my Protomotive 996TT dyno'd on EVOMS Mustang Dyno in March put down: 531AWHP and 525AWTQ. On the same day, my Kleemann K1 SL55 put down 448RWHP and 540RWTQ. I thought this would be good for comparision sake.
I would like to race my 996TT against the CL65 just to see which is faster. The 996TT has a ton less weight, but the Torque of the CL65 is brutal! I think it would be a close race, maybe giving the win to the 996TT but not by much?
The car is awsome! I am really enjoying it and will be putting a Renntech Lowering module on tomorrow.

It must be the older CL65.I was thinking at first it was the new 65' and wondering how quick did they develop parts tuning for it.
Nice figures though.
I keep having this recurring dream of myself driving a completely lightweight stripped out version of one of those '65 AMG Mercedes' around the Nurburgring.
