Considering selling a couple vehicles and consolidating to a 07 or 08 G55. Thoughts? I looked at a new 07 at the dealer this weekend. Very nice. Any owner comments?

You can never go wrong with G55. I own one and Im planning to buy another next year. If you concerned about fuel consumption then i advice not to go for the G55, stick to the G500 or G400 CDI or M or GL. I drove the G400 CDI and i was pretty amazed the way it drives and the power is pretty good for a diesel.

 

New 07+ have HIDs now...thats a huge plus

 

5 days ago recieved new G 55 AMG with 500hp, with wide screen command and new instrumental cluster... lots of changes!!! car is amazing, I like to drive it, the sound is very loud! power is great! MY G is black with white designo leather, very nice combination! good luck

 

my best friend has one, its sick, nothing like the torque and sound it makes.

 

Go for a G55, its an exlusive SUV and is handmade what else do you want for such a monsterous squared suv. The only drawback is that its top speed is around 220-30kmh wished it can exceed 260kmh.

 

Thanks for the response. How does it compare with the Cayenne Turbo? I had a Cayenne S, loved it... just go bored with it. The G seems to be pretty unique, not many around here in AZ. I hate to get rid of my CLS55, but I am just not driving it that much.

 

Same here, I got feed up with my Cayenne S. I am very thankful for what I have got but it isnt an interesting daily driver.

 

With the high center of gravity and suspension from 1974 you may want to re-think that!

 

Nope, there has been mad folks with their Turbo Nissan Patrol Suv's and Toyota Landcruisiers with offroad tyres that have a higher topspeed than Murcielago's and SLR's in the United Arab emarites. So I think there should be no reason for the G55 to be that limited at the topend.
