I am selling a brand new copy of parallels for mac. I bought it along with my iMac thinking I was going to run windows on it for windows based programs. Parallels enables you to run windows along side you mac os x operating system. I ended up not even opening it! Bought it at my local apple store for $79.95. Anyone that would like to buy it can have it for $55 shipped. If anyone purchases it that is out of the United States, extra shipping would apply. Thanks.

I realize this is a "for sale" thread and not a "explain how it works" thread, but I am curious how it compares to the old version of Virtual PC.

I tried running VPC on my 2003 model iMac and it was so slow that I couldn't even use it for the most basic of tasks.

I have read reports that Parallels is the best software of its kind to date, but will it run windows reasonably fast like a dedicated PC will?

Parallels is awesome. My MacBook Pro runs windows better than my friend's IBM. cliche but if i would have seen this thread a week ago I would have bought this. I just bought a copy from parallels for like $80. Great price!
