Microsoft really did a great job with this device. I bought it because I am an iPod hater, and was very much pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I have been using my phone more and more to play my music and this thing is just sitting around.

do you know if this will work with rhapsody's subscription service? i'm pretty sure it doesn't, only with the ms music service...

let me do some digging. i'm a yahoo music user, got bumped to rhapsody when yahoo music service shut down, and don't like rhapsody very much...and your player has gotten pretty decent reviews. is yours the current vewsion with wireless capabilities?

 

yeah it's the newer good one with wireless sync and everything. Gen 1 was a little rough but this blows any ipod I've had out of the water. Sound quality is much better as well.

 

what's it come with and is it black or red? is there any media on it already?

 

it's black and will come blank (sorry I can't include my media as I have a lot of unreleased songs from musician friends and stuff). I have the original box and everything. I can include the ear buds but i've used them (I wouldn't want someone else's used earbuds.)

 

is the latest os on it? i think it's 3.0....bummer about the music, sometimes you get mp3 players with hidden gems on it! i'll come back to you in the next day or so, but don't wait for me as i'm not sure what to do.

 

pretty sure it has the latest firmware. It auto-updates when you plug it in.

buy it, try it out for a month or two, if you don't like it you can sell it and you'll be out at most like $20-30.
