I think he was actually trying to find something that would match his car. If the blue sodalite dial does it, then I doubt it would matter to him if it is a stone dial or a plain laquered dial.

I.E. If somebody had a silver car and wanted a face on a Daytona to match it, I certainly would recommend the meteorite, since it is silver in color.
