The new Lange Double Split is the first flyback chronograph with a double rattrapante, the principle of the rattrapante sweep-seconds hand has also been applied to the jumping minute-counter.
Comparative time measurements of up to 30 minutes are now possible for the first time using classical mechanical methods. The platinum case measures 43mm.
A host of important innovations and complications typical of Lange have been created for this watch, among them a new balance, developed in-house, with regulating cams, as well as a new balance spring, also developed in-house and manufactured entirely in Nivarox 1 quality, and the new disengagement mechanism, for which a patent registration has been filed.
