The Writers Edition (which the kafka is a later editon) are a sure thing for appreciation. The Agatha Christie has appreciated quite nicely.

But, like Porsches, these pens should not be purchased as investments but rather simply because you get enjoyment from their use. Go get a MB Rollerball - buy it from a dealer to avoid a good fake, and enjoy it. If you want a good fake, go to Hong Kong - the ones at the night market are so "real" a dealer might be mislead. Most of all, enjoy.
Mark-up on an item made in 14,000 copies= hype. Selling it before it's too late is what I would do.

Don't know if they have them near you but Sharon Luggage will meet any internet price and offer great service...at least that has been my experience.

Wonder if Costco is selling these yet?
