The motor from Derek's? Too much for my car, I should leave mine alone and look for a 930.

Believe it or not, my Porsche dealer did all the work with the exception of the ECU.

I'll get you in touch with the tech directly if you want. He's a speed freak like all of us and truly appreciates modding cars. I hear he has a 700HP Jag. Heck his daily driver is a Cherokee SRT8, not sure what he's done to it.

by the way...you might want to start shopping for a new clutch.
I'm still in love and have dreams about Gunther's Yellow Turbo I would love to do a few runs just to see how things play out. Gunther, thanks for the advice, Proto is awesome!

As for the ECU, no idea, I had to send it to Proto. Same ppl did the install...yup you guessed it, the dealership.

I was told to do the clutch next by my tech so I'm thinking of the AWE Stage 2 clutch, but so far so good.

Jason, yes we have to do a few runs to see what improvements this upgrade has done compared to the last. I wil try to have the car dyno'ed tomorrow if my assistant doesn't have me scheduled for anything.

Sounds good. I'd love the name/number of the tech, that way I could have him do a turbo swap, and I can install the flash upgrade myself.

Your clutch will probably hold up for a little while. It's at the strip, on the hard launches where you might feel it slip. On the street, your tires will usually slip before the clutch.

hey Jason,
yes, that was me and my friend Kelly. We did the first AKA Rally in a topless E46 M3. Yes, is was 'documented' by a not so reputable television chanel

I caught so much **** for that.
What were you doing watching that show anyway! They were all about the drama.
The rally was a blast though. We had 50 cars that year, the cops weren't as concerned about us back then, and people we really pushing to get to the finish lines. Good times.

Now that I've met you, I can tell you did not do it for "fame" or TV-time...but had I been in the car I would have done nothing but talk **** about TV and their crappy network...

Question Pardon my ignorance....

Pardon my ignorance here, but I was just wondering if Protomotive also worked on non-TT cars like my C4S. Sounds like Alex and Gunther have had some great success w/ their mods w/ Protomotive, but was just wondering what were my options. Chris (Cohare), I know you said to drop it off at TPC and seeing that (1) they are close and (2) I hear good things about their shop that might be the way to go, but I was wondering what everyone thought of Evolution's Centrifugal SC vs TPC's Positive Displacement SC. It seems like EVOM's has about 30 more HP, but might need more mods to the engine afterwards to fit it in, whereas TPC is true bolt on w/ minimal changes. I just want to get the most bang for the buck w/ the least major work after install. Will probably do this after the warranty runs out, then you TT's better be ready!!!!

What other mods would be needed as well (new clutch, flywheel, ROLLCAGE etc.). I'm not looking to really track much, just to keep up with everyone and not feel so SLOW!!!! I wanna have a C4S like no other, similar to how SICK Ahmad's CLK55K Kleeman and everyone else's rides. OH, the choices.

Thanks in advance for the input everyone.

Berk

I know I said to go to TPC, but if you can find a good installer around here to do the EVO I think it may be a better option. Much more tested and widely used than the TPC. I would also think it is more of a "off the shelf" type install than the TPC.

Screw your warranty, get on it!
