Need a Change: The Wheels...

Guys,
Thinking of painting the Turbo Twists to the Black Gloss look (Matte Black I'm just not feeling, but am open to suggestions). First, what do you guys think of this before I make the move, and secondly, any suggestions on body shops that can do the paintwork in this area? Thanks.
B-

you guys are right, but sometimes you just want to feel stock. I don't know, I'm really thinking of losing the wing, the 19's, then going with the blacked out 18" turbo twists, roll cage, PSS9's (instead of the springs), Sparco seats, tinted windows, RSS Plenum, GIAC Chip, EVOMS CAI Kit, etc etc etc. Did I miss anything, oh yeah, and a partridge in a pear tree. HAHAHA.

J/K, but seriously, I am thinking about several of those options up top.....

Wheels are a matter of personal taste. In the end - YOU have to decide what you want to run.

If my vote means anything - I'd keep the GT3s you have now.

If your trying to build a sleeper car the you have to go crazy with the upgrades i.e. at least drop a supercharger in there. otherwise keep what you have on now and install the mods you mentioned.

At the end of the day it your car and you have to do what makes u happy

Where does the rally end up, down near DC? This would be tempting.

Berk, the best wheel shop to call is Ye Old Wheel Shop. I believe they are in Anne Arundel County, MD. Up by BWI. Racers, show cars, etc. all go there. Gloss powdercoat sounds good to me.

hmm...I'd avoid Ye Olde if I were you. I can tell you tons of horror stories from that place including my own. I took a Champion 3 piece wheel with a slight bend in the lip, and the wheel came back (3 weeks later) in worse condition than when I dropped it off.

It looked like they used a hammer and chisel to take the bend out. Then they offered me a deal of $300 to refinish the lips on all 4 of my wheels to make them match.

There's a place in Rockville that does painting/powdercoating/refinishing wheels that I heard was good. I'll try to find the link.

All it takes is one reference like your to sway me. Only two friends had been to Ye and they were just getting chromed. Thanks for the heads up. Rockville's closer for me.
