Berk,

Try a local shipping and packaging company like Uhaul, the UPS store etc,.

I'm not sure if it would be suitable or not but a wardrobe box is about 5 feet long and at least a foot wide. Either way make sure its packed tight with bubble wrap/peanuts/foam and insured

Best of luck,
Court

Thanks Court....I tried going the UHAUL box route, but it seems a little tight.....

As for the bubble wrap, yes, definitely w/ the insurance, etc.....I'm going to bubble the **** out of it!!!!! HAHAHAHA......

Okay Berk,

Try this: Postalplusva.com

They claim to specialize in shipping any size and shape item and they are located on Elden St. in Herndon.

"Postal Plus is your neighborhood one-stop source for packing and shipping services and supplies. We can have your packages shipped by US Mail, FedEx, UPS or DHL. We specialize in shipping any size and shape item and offer a large selection of boxes and packaging materials."

Also, I'm not on commission at this place

Hey, we don't know each other but I just had a golf bag delivered through the mail and still have the box from that. You're more than welcome to it if you'd like.

VT - That would be great. It needs to measure at least 5 1/2 feet wide however, does it? Thanks bud.

Just checked out the box and, unfortunately, it isn't going to be big enough for your application. Sorry man~

I've shipped heavy 70lb amps to CA, I used the the styrofoam sheets they sell at home depot for construction. I cut it to size and lined the box walls, kind of like a cooler. Just an idea!

^^ JT, I like the idea, I may try that...I take it when I go to HD, they'll know what I'm talking about when requesting the styrofoam panels?

Have you found one yet?

Have you found your box? If not, I work at the Discovery Channel and we get all sorts of big stuff coming in the back. I can start checking with the loading dock fellas if you like.

best of luck
