Thumbs up

I picked the car up from the painter today. The car looks amazing! Had a blow out on the trailer on 95N............that was fun. Limped the trailer to the next exit, unload the car to get the spare tire.

Any how, here are a couple of pictures after getting it back. The color looked a lot brighter in the pictures the painter sent me (maybe the lighting?) Now the tedious work of putting everything back together without scratching the new paint.

My friend who painted the car ran out of paint . I had a few extra pieces to be done that he had not calculated for. He is going to re shoot the bumper when I bring the car back to him for the final wet sand/polish.

The last couple of evenings after work have been spent trimming the car out. New moldings around all of the windows, door handle gaskets, etc. I installed the trim around the rear window without pulling the glass. It was a total PITA to get the top/side piece to go in, but it sure beat having to have the glass pulled.

The quarter windows went in next.

Installed the cover over the tag lights and the tail lights next.

Cleaned up the seats a bit. I wonder if I'll ever get all the dust from the body/paint work out of the car. I need to get a new armrest, as there is no hope for this one.

I'm going to pull the headliner before I get the windshield installed. I'm thinking that I can just slide it out the front of the car.

Since the last time I posted I have had the headliner redone, windshield installed, all the lights except the fogs installed. I put the style 68s on to see how it looked since the car is all one color now.

One last crappy picture taken in the dark when it was raining.
