I've driven one, VERY COOL ride. Great engine, nice stance, and good vibes from the exhaust. I think you would miss the Porsche though. Here's a thought, buy the SRT 8, keep the Porsche and turn it into a total track *****!

Clarke, I REALLY LIKE where you are going with this and I just might do what you're suggesting.....waiting until she falls off warranty of course and then will be the track ride most likely. I had the Boxster for that right now.....Too many cars, too little garage space.....hahahaha.....unfortunately, cannot accomodate a lift....

Yeah, I've got two buddies with modified GCSRT8's and they LOVE them, they LIVE, BREATHE, EAT, AND SH&T BY THEM........Being in the driver's seat was a totally different experience........May just try to pick it up as the DD.

See, that's what I'm trying to figure out here. Is Chrysler really going to be GONE or are they going to get swallowed up by one of the other 2 Big Guns? You willing to dump me your 996TT?????

tons of fun... if you dont care about gas mileage. Then again... who buys a Jeep or an SRT looking for good gas mileage?

I say go for it!
Where was that picture taken?

Sell the Chickster to offset the SRT8 or fund the track *****. I'll keep the C4 in front of my house for you if you need more parking.

Take it from me, YOU WILL MISS the porsche. I have been through several daily drivers IS350, LS460, GS460, Maxima.. it doesnt matter. I have even considered everything from the M5, M3, ISF, you name it at the end of the day its never a porsche, never as fun as you want and using a car everyday makes you not appreciate it.

Plus new cars crush you right off the lot esp when you have buyers remorse. In 5 years the Jeep will be a used jeep the pcar will still be special and fun to drive. Seriously, dont do it.

What the heck..... 996TTs are in mid 30s now? Isn't used engine and gearbox in that car cost more than 30?

Agreed with cohare about new cars depreciation (especially Jeeps). I wouldn't do it also.

There's no way. I was at Intersport over the weekend. They are still getting high $50s for C4Ss. You can't even find a used TT anywhere. And if it's a 997, it's in the $90s. The lowest I saw a 996TT listed was $68k. May not get it, but at least the demand is still there.
