The Jefferson 500 is at Summit Point May 2nd:

The Deutsch Marque Concours is May 3rd at Nottoway Park (Vienna):

Alan, can you give more details on this Deutsche Concours in Nottoway. I'm interested in attending.

As for May 2nd, I was thinking of driving up to NJMP to watch James Sofronas and the GMG team dominate the World Challenge series race that day like they did in Longbeach last weekend.

Berk: Here is a link to the BMW Club website info on the event. I think the local PCA and Mercedes club sites have similar pages. I have attended the past several years and it is always worthwhile.

I found a PCA link: http://www.pcapotomac.org/index.php?...d=42&Itemid=57

Anytime Mick, our (BMW Club autocross) next event is in less than 2 weeks up at Summit Point (Saturday May 2nd). When you get the Lotus, you should try it out in that venue. They are wicked fast in autocross. If you don't feel like driving, grab a ride with someone and get the addiction.

They are a great, legal and safe way to explore the limits of your car.

Hey Mick, if you think you want to try autocross, just wait and see what it feels like to do a ride along on an open track event with an instructor. They will give you first hand experience of how you should 'really' drive your car. Then you roll the same day in your car with an instructor as a passenger. Summit Shenandoah is a great course to try as it has many turns and some 130+ straights.

They asked me to lead a Porsche parade fun run from the concours to the Steeplechase races in Culpepper after it's over. I'm planning a route this week... let me know if you're going!

also... the VA Gold Cup is the day before OR PCA is also holding a road rally on Saturday... hmmmm (gold cup or rally... tough choice)

Nate - I'm definitely IN for the parade fun run. Let me know the details and I'm there buddy. Great seeing you at Thursday's Last night for some wings w/ the other guys.

Gold Cup may be overwhelming, so a road rally would be nice. Keep me in the loop on this one as well......
