sunburned is infamous around these parts
That's BS. An integra I bought last year had coilovers on it and the previous owner thought it was cool to ride it on the bumpstops...literally. The car passed inspection tucking the stock tires on all 4 corners.

Billy will help you out though, great guy and great mechanic.

Hey John - Sounds like the new buyer of your car should REPORT that station as running a dishonest inspection station. Fines and Penalities should follow IMO. What an A$$HOLE!!!

While my experience was in NY, I have had inspection stations tell me they can't pass the car because the car had aftermarket suspension and aftermarket (slotted) rotors. The guy doing inspection basically said they can't pass the state inspection because aftermarket parts were used. I actually had 2 different shops tell me the same thing. I ended up taking the car to an indy P-car shop (that also does state inspections) without issue. My guess is that they don't want the liability in case your car gets into an accident with inspection sticker that lead back to them. You figured, they're not making money on inspections and easier to send you to another shop.
