New P-Car owner and to this location!

Hello!

I just moved here from sunny LA, and came over to see this winter storm!

Look forward to hear your advice and comments for this region. I just bought the '04 C2 and will probably solicit a lot of questions.

Thanks!

Why are there SO MANY COPS out on the street?!

I guess they have nothing better like LA Cops who are busy catching real criminals.

Welcome Lakhoon, so why the move from Cali to the East Coast, if the opportunity to move to Cali arose for me I wouldn't hesitate

Get used to the cops in VA, there everywhere and a word of advice watch you're speed

Look forward to meeting you soon.

Welcome! thats a nice color, I rarely see 996s in Atlas.
The events start when the weather gets warmer, definitely check both Chesapeake and Potomac PCA regions calendars.

Welcome to the board..Most of the events start in the spring. I you are central to 2 local tracks ( NJ Motorsports Park and Summit Point ) both are frequented by PCA chapters and other clubs. Most of the events are open to all makes. There is also Quite a few Cars and Coffee meet and greets. If it is not too much of a drive I host a small car show here in PA just over the Delaware boarder...

Welcome and we have lots of good events when it warms up. Keep an eye out for Bull30's post for fun runs. He does a great job putting fun routes together.

See you soon!

Welcome Lakhoon.......one thing you'll notice is that LA weather and VA weather are worlds apart, also the car life. HAHAHAHAHAA.....But we'll make the best of it here. GREAT CREW of DC/MD/VA guys and like Gunther said, Bull30 throws some great routes, I handle a lot of the GTG's for Cars & Coffee and other events like Midnight Run Times Square NYC as well as a few other events we'll set up in the area. Stay tuned in the Mid-Atlantic Section. I may set up a GTG event in the coming weeks for a little "WINTER SPECIAL" for folks to get together. Just waiting on my car to get back from the tuner hopefully this week....YYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

WELCOME ABOARD BUD!!!!

Welcome to the 6, Lakhoon! Great cars, great people here. The proliferation of police in the Northeast is largely a response to municipalities in search of increased revenue streams. VA is a particularly "greedy" state

Brick & mortar activities will start up in earnest once the salt is off the road.

Again, welcome to the 6!

Welcome to the area and as others have said, check this section for posted meets and such. Hope to see you at one of them.

On the revenue note Arlington loves to give "no front plate" tickets. Just a heads up if your in that area. After the fourth ticket I put the plates on the M. (all tickets were given while I was parked and away from the car)

Thanks! I've heard that many times! Black and silver is ubiquitous, but atlas grey is kinda the odd ball.

Look forward to meeting all of the P-car owners here!

Sweet! Love going to car shows... I attended the Staples Center car show in LA about twice in the last four years. Loved every minute of it, but my wife was giving me the eye, "when are we going?" look... ^^

Thanks! Look forward to meeting you all! I'm still a newbie when it comes to Porsches, and looking/reading everyone's post makes me very envious when it comes to all the TT and 4S with crazy mods. I was lucky enough to have convinced my wife to let me buy my Porsche.

Please keep me in the loop!
