I'm headed to VA Beach in March, and I'm wondering if anyone has a private shop recommendation for my 996TT. Anyone?

In the summer there is a Saturday GTG at Jenro's at the corner of Independence Blvd and Haygood. A lot of nice cars show up in the afternoon. Always a lot of car shows put on by various local clubs.

You can check out Tidewater Racing Forums for events under that section of the board. They usually post up track rentals, autocross, car shows, and dyno days.

Jenro's is a good Saturday event, the local PCA has a breakfast on every other Saturday, there are a number of other groups that do things as well.

 

You may also want to look at http://www.stuttgartservice.com/index.htm . They are located in Williamsburg, but all they do is Porsche.

 

There is a guy I met through Racing Junk that I almost bought a Diasio from. He races an 87 slantnose on a weekly basis. Shoot me an email and I will put you in touch with him. Reall nice guy, and very knowledgable with P cars and racing.
