That was me! you should have come over and said hello We were working on a guy's 240Z with a 2JZ swap. He broke something, hope to heck it was just the head gasket but I'm doubting it. 8second capable machine too!

Edit: Oh and that's NOT a GT2 but the wing fits in nicely on it I think!

...I didn't see your car until I was getting ready to leave. I arrived and thought, do I just walk up to one of these guys and ask
"Excuse me, are you Mr. ‘P-Car’ ...from the 6-speed forum?" lol. Yes, the GT2 decklid and front end looks great. Was the installation and paint done locally?

It wasn't a GT2. The GTR's were quick as always. There was one with upgraded turbos and built trans that supposedly made 750whp. I heard it ran a best of 10.3 but I didn't see it. The best i saw was 10.5 The DA was positive and got worse throughout the day. I beat my personal best, the MB no nitrous record, and the overall 1/8th record. I ran a 10.59 with a 6.7 1/8th. I was 0.01s shy of the nitrous 1/4 record Oh well, there is always next time! Hope you are having fun in Florida! Oh yea and I finally cut a 1.4x 60'!

Thanks! Yea I wish it was cooler. Guess I'm going to have to take a few more steps to ensure I beat the time even with less than desireable weather. You know I'm itching to get back out there.

Well lets get together a small group rental next week as the weather is supposed to cool back down.

Are the rental sessions “closed sessions”? If not, what's the difference between the Friday, group rental and arriving early on a Saturday for a test and tune session? When I arrived Friday, the track seemed to be open to anyone willing to pay.

The difference is the rentals are closed to the public but the guy who arranges the rentals can pretty much let anyone he wants to come. Also rentals are much more lax environment as far as tech and parking etc.

...thanks for the explanation. Weekend T&T are optimal for me, but fewer cars and distractions in the lanes may be worth the weekday rental.

Well once you do a rental you won't even want to go to the track unless its a rental, as you get way more passes to perfect your driving and there is no pressure to run up and make a pass or miss your turn. I have been to the track many times and sure I have paid only 20 bucks most times, but many, many times I waited in staging lines all day to make 2 or 3 passes. That really sucks when your there all day for 2 or 3 passes at any price. Whats worse is on those 2 or 3 passes you don't get a good leave because you can't get into a rythem or you do get a good leave and you miss a shift or it burns the tires or something else goes wrong, not to mention if you have fast cars like me its usually 1 or 2 passes and your done. All those factors are taken away when you do a rental and to me the 100 bucks or so for all day racing is like stealing IMO!
