Cars and Coffee - Great Falls, VA
Thanks
Not exclusive to exotics, but there are a few interesting AMAM meets around. Katie's is definitely the biggest and Kohl's is fast becoming a favorite. Here's a link to the meetup group if you're interested...

Thank You Chris for the Info...I checked out your club and I must say I hate living so far away from all the action. I live in Germantown, Maryland having to drive all the way to Va every saturday and sunday would be too much of a gas killer! haha. But i will deff try and stop by sometime for the Cars and Coffee at Kohl's. That Ferrari 458 Italia looked sick!

Is that what it is? haha I suck at classifying older vehicles earlier than 1950, I couldn't find the model of that Bentley to save my life
Bentley
FYI - A 1929 Bentley 4.5 liter is something special. You can do some quick online research, but I know about the cars because of the "blower Bentley," which is basically the exact same car sans supercharger. This car is also pretty famous because of the phrase, "there is no replacement for displacement" was coined by W.O. Bentley when they were developing it (up from 3.0 I think). Moreover, Bentley won the 24 hours of Lemans in '28 with the car....so yeah, it's pretty special.

The Bentleys (and the Duesenburgs, Delage, Delehe, Panhard, Pierce Arrow, Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Mazerati, Ferrari, Mercedes, Packard, Cadillac 12 and straight eights) and others are ussually seperated by pre-and post war era. Many of the pre war Supercharged cars are really rare and valuable as are the sports vintage and grand prix cars. In those days you could buy a car directly from the manufacturer and go racing with simply a different trim line on the same base chassis, made by a specific coach builder - for example a later varient of this would be say a Ferrari 250 GTO versus a Ferrari 250 Tour De France...same cars, same chassis just one suited more for racing, this happened all the time with the short wheel base (SWB) vs. LWB Ferraris of the 50's...from the GTB to the GTC 4 cam which was a cabrio with the same race inspired design of the Berlinetta...was a great time for cars, with coach builders like Soucheck, Scaglietti, and Pininferina and several others creating literally works of art!
Modern cars will never have the same appeal of a fine vintage auto, the history, the significance, and the way those cars were actually "crafted" ...consider it like going to the tailor and getting a suit made for you versus going to a store and picking a suit out of say 30 different ones that fit you.

Is there anyone having any evening events at a night club or restaurant this year? Mid Atlantic Motor Club, L4P, or something where we are not just standing in the middle of a parking lot with a bunch of guys? It is nice to at least look at some hot women now and then

The '95 911 GT2 [yellow] was straight up gorgeous, and the ('07 if I'm not mistaken) 911 confused me. Can someone help me out with the classification. I'm like 75% sure this is a Carrera S dressed up as a GT3 but I'm not sure. It's a cool concept, but a confusing one haha

The yellow car is Helio's (Im not sure if he's on 6speed or not), but it was originally a '74 or '75 I think and over the past 10 years or so it's undergone the transformation you see in the video. It's got a tweaked engine from an '89 turbo (500 hp or something close to that) stuffed into the shell of a 993 widebody. Definitely ask him about it if you see it out there again. It's quite an accomplishment.
The black car is Sid's and it's a C2S (you can see that on the door sill at 2:16) with the factory 997 aero kit and ceramic brakes. A GT3 would have dual center exhaust and different wheels.
