So today I was driving from VA to MD and I hit this massive bump on the road in between Tysons and the Dulles toll road. It is on the far left lane and it is like a massive speed bump that is just there. I hit it at 65mph and it was so hard that it moved the camber plate so now I am on maximum camber on the left side. It also popped out my tow hook cover but luckily the tow hook saved it from flying off of the car.

 

Ouch! I did the exact same thing in the 325xi today up in Baltimore. Dinged a pothole ON 695 so hard, my Breyton rim is pretty much gone. Rubber malleted the thing back today when I got home so the wife could get to work the next few days. These holes kill our cars, lowered or not.

 

Was in the car with a friend today and hit the same exact bump. That thing is dangerous and VDOT needs to something about it asap.

 

Im tired of this vdot construction. Its hard to have a nice car in this area.

 

Dondon, thanks for the head's-up and sorry to hear about the incident, I'll steer clear of that one, I try to drive the Exige in once in a while to Tysons.

Good thing I was slow dulles toll road cars that were exiting on the left side so I didn't hit that bump.

Btw, the left lane on the southbound outer loop side is fine. Just some sharp/tight turns around some concrete walls and cones but other than that no problem.

 

It got me on Saturday as well and the hit was so hard it my car out allignment. I had to stop because I thought I had a flat. VDOT really needs to fix that ASAP!!!

 

is this on route 7? i know there's one on the bridge by the toyota dealer (i think it's fixed but i still dodge it anyways). probably best to slow down in tyson area since there's a big construction going on. it seems like it's gonna be another few years until they finish.
