Question anybody use tirevan.net????

These guys are coming by to replace, check, patch tires at our company next week, and I'm thinking of going with them to replace the tires on the truck. Has anyone used them before? Thanks.

I had a buddy that use to work with Tirevan. He wasn't a tech, but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Plus can't beat the convenience of having them come to you.

Will they be providing the tires as well? Would be curious how they compare to tirerack, etc.

Berk, I used them a couple of times to balance my Porsche tires. They have the Hunter 9700 computer balancer on the truck. It road force balances the tires and will even tell the tech if he needs to deflate the tire and rotate it part way around the rim to achieve the optimal balance. Never bought tires from them but the balancing can't be beat.

Awesome guys!!! Thanks. I will go forward with them.

Yes - their prices seem to be a little lower then TireRack when comparing apples to apples (not by MUCH), but just enough. The convenience factor is what is best. They come by the workplace, and while you are carrying on with your day, they do the work in the parking lot from their van. They said they will also refer me to someone to do the repair work on my Champions off Baby Blue. Let's start w/ the tires on the Family Truckster first. HA!

Ok - started the process with them. Bought 4 Kumho's for the family truckster. They come by my office on Tuesday to install in the parking lot. I'll let everyone know what transpires with the end transaction. Initial impression is good. Went on to their corporate AutoAdvantage site (since I'm an employee of a company they are teamed with). They're also teamed with companies like Northrop, Lockheed, Mitre, ManTech, EVEN PCA, so I think discounts can range from 20% off install services (NOT THE TIRES, but the actual install, which is like a savings of $6 per wheel), which, hey, is okay still because if they compare to the cost of other shops like Costco, NTB, etc but convenience of replacing on site where you are, then it's worth it.

To this point, it has been professional and was a very easy transaction. They even populate any RECALLS (outside of just tires/wheels) on the site when you choose your car. It remembers you as an account. I had four recalls that I never even was told by VOLVO, so I'm planning on making sure they are taken care of. Once you order, you get a phone call and email from a representative confirming the order and if there are any questions/concerns/changes. Very professional to this point.

I'll keep everyone in the loop with the final results.

Thumbs up

Used them for 4 tires on my nissan. Great price, great result, paid extra for the hunter roadforce but it was worth it. One of my buddies came down and they rebalanced 4 wheels on his sl600. He was very happy as well. Highly recommend.

YES Bogart101 - I'm echoing the experience you and your friend had. They called me ahead of time (the ACTUAL technician) as he was about to work on the car in the parking lot of my office. Knowledgeable guy with the highest level of customer service (usually not expected from the tech's, so this was a great experience also).

Overall, still need to head out to the car to see the final result, but to be honest, I'm not expecting anything less than highly satisfactory results.......THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!! You don't even have to buy tires from them, you can just have them rebalance and/or rotate the wheels/tires. Well worth the money and experience.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TIREVAN.NET!!!!

I'm glad you had good results. I've used them a few times. The fact that they came to your location, at a time you specify, is great. The service was always very good. And as I recall, their tire prices were competitive. But for both my previous C4S and Cayenne Turbo, the balance was not very good (i.e., I had the shakes at highway speed). They came back out to re-balance the C4S without any hassle, but it still would not balance. In each case, I had to take the car to Radial Tire to get the proper balance. I'm not an expert, but I would think precision equipment mounted in cargo trucks on $hitty metro area roads ain't a good thing.

^^^Good Point Al. That's why I think I'll stick with the DD's for now w/ them at not so high speeds.
