Fair Lakes, 11/13/11

A cool, breezy day, but not bad at all for November. Plenty of people still coming out, taking advantage of the good driving weather. Cars started showing up between 8:15AM and 8:30AM, and most left by 11:00AM.

Someone described the Chevy Monza racecar as a "Mad Max car".

Mike was back, with his '58 Porsche 1600.

Fair Lakes, 11/13/11 - Part 2

I'll repeat what RSR Guy said - there is no scheduled "end of year" for this event. As long as it's not raining, snowing or too sloppy to drive a fun car, you'll find people showing up for this event Sunday mornings throughout the year. That said, Bob W. reserves the right not to bring his 600+hp car without a roof when it gets too cold. (What a baby.)

Fair Lakes, 11/13/11 - Part 3

We have some people who are at this event almost every week.
We love our regulars!

Fair Lakes, 11/13/11 - Part 4

Speaking of 'regulars', Fair Lakes C & C founder Bob W (RSR Guy) was there again today.

Also, fellow Lotus driver Evan brought his white Exige all the way down from Harrisburg, PA this morning. I think Evan gets the Long Distance Award today...

Fair Lakes, 11/20/11

All of us were amazed that it wasn't really cold this morning. I drove the 3 miles to Fair Lakes, top down, and it was not at all uncomfortable, even before 8AM.

Dino's newly-bought Viper GTS-R (1 of 100 made) had just arrived, so he brought it out.

A really nice Sunbeam Tiger was joined by its 'cousin', the Cobra.

Bob W's Lister 'Jaguar' had company from another Jaguar.

3 of our Corvette contingent.

Chris C's Viper.

A Porsche RS clone.
The VW has a Subaru WRX engine, sequential shifter, rollcage, and Wilwood brakes.
BMW swiss cheese.
Bob S's 355.
A regular brought out his Chevy truck.

The VW with the Subaru engine is a great car. Clean and simple but pure awesomeness.

That's Walt's car. My old wheels but with a matte black powder coating.
