Custom Audio in MD or NOVA

Hey Guys! The old Mustang has be neglected for years in the audio dept. I've always focused on everything but. It's now spring and time for a little top down driving and I can't hear any tunes from my weak system. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a system and don't want to add 4 amps and 2 subs. It's just not that type of car. I do want a crystal clear sounding system that I can hear while I'm driving with the top down. Do any of you guys have a reputable shop that you can refer me to? I am picky with my cars and I don't want this car dropped off anywhere that I have to worry about it. I would prefer a shop in Md near Rockville but will take it to NoVA if that's what I have to do.

You may want to contact Custom Audiophile Systems in Sterling, Virginia. Chris just finished a 67 Mustang fastback which looked phenominal.

I think I met him at Katies one Saturday morning. I would love to take it to those guys but I'm not looking to spend at ton of money to make this things sound descent. The car is a vert, it's loud and wasn't built with listening to music while driving in mind but... I have to have some tunes while cruising and the POS system in the car right now just isn't cutting it. I may give him a call and see what they can do. I just don't want to take it down there and have him tell me I need to spend 15k or something crazy to be able to hear music in that car.

Chris is longer associated with Designo, he's operating his own gig...Custom Audiophile Systems. I wouldn't have recommended him otherwise.

A lot of the sticker shock you're thinking about is related to the Designo practices. Chris is much more realistic. If you tell him what you want from the audio system and he gives you a price, you will get exactly what you paid for...no artificial inflation.

I'll try to get a couple shots of the Fastback today and post them up.

Hey D...shoot me a PM, and I'll hook you up with a guy who does it full time, but does it on the side at the shop at his house. His work is impeccable!

Post up those pics of the fastback. Also, shoot me over Chris' contact info so I can try to talk to him. He seemed like a super nice guy when I met him at Katies.

Haven't got enough posts to PM yet. His site is www.casdesignva.com, all of his info is there. He seems most acessible by email.

The fastback wa son the lift last time I went by it's current location and couldn't get shots. Chris has a bunch of photos of it, I'll try to get them and post up.

Here ya go guys. Chris did all of the interior work on the Mustang, aluminum, fiberglass and leather. This is a true custom install. One of the photo's includes a 66 Chevelle he's working on right now...it's equally impressive. Enjoy...
