my 911t break down
my 911t break down
this ever happen to anyone... I went to start her, then cough cough and nothing... turned key off and there's a whining noise coming from the right rear wheel well... after a few minutes pass it starts smoking! When trying to start it read only 11 amps and the oil guage fluttered a little too... after a few more minutes of smoke (and personal panic) the fuse pops... then nada of course.
had her taken to Waterloo Motors in Warrenton to get checked and now awaiting the diagnosis. Anyone have a guess?

Passenger rear wheel well was the loudest for the whining noise and had more smoke... both sides had smoke leaking out... it was a windy day.
My initial guess is the fuel pump, I think on 996's it's recommended to replace the fuel filter every 60k miles or so.
The smoke could be an indication that something else is leaking and is burning off.
I could be way off but I'm sure the shop will figure it out.
Best of luck brother.
