Question Lincoln Navigators?

I'm looking to pick up an older Navigator as a daily/beater car. I'm looking at SUVs in the 7-11k price range and these are pretty impressive considering their options.

Has anyone owned one, known someone that owned one? None of my friends have, so I'm not too familiar. Reviews look good so far.

If you can recommend alternatives, feel free.

I had a 2006 navi in the pearl color. Wanted it for a daily. Rode smooth as silk on air bags. Fully loaded. Tested it up against a 2000 Yukon Denali I had once before, but the Navi took it hands down. Rides like a car compared to the Denali that rides and feels like a truck. If I didn't NEED a pick up truck for my business, I would still be in it today. Traded it in and they gave me $24k 3 yrs ago. Don't see why you can't get into one at your price range. Good luck.

Working at a dealer, I've had the opportunity to drive quite a few, and they seem to be very nice trucks... I would certainly choose one over a yukon or suburban any day of the week.

Potential problems of the navi at high mileage are...air suspension failure (costly) and spark plug blow out (very common on the 5.4lt triton ford motor).

I buy and sell cars & have accts w/numerous local dealer auctions; if I could be of help; feel free to pm me.
