Looking for a local shop around the Northern Virginia area to install a set of coilovers and help me set them up properly... Anyone know of such a place?

Also whats about expected price?

I called InterSport and spoke with the owner Omar... Heard that he knows his stuff. He mentioned the 997ssk is junk and was charging about 400 to install skk and 1400 for install coilovers and corner balance.

From what I have heard everyone loves the 997ssk... Correct me if I am wrong???

Installing a SSK on a 996/99 is a DIY job depending on your level of confidence.

I recall that a lot of members on RN saying that the 997 SSK is a vast improvement over stock.

Have you looked into B&M, I installed the B&M unit on my 996 and possibly the best, all done within the car...and took about an hour.

Might want to PM Fraggle about the Suspension, he's a good guy.

Yes, most really like the 997SSK.

 

I'd take it to intersport, guys definitely know their stuff over there.

 

Manny over at Autothority is great also, he has an extensive knowledge of Porsches and they have been around forever with good past performance history.

 

Confirmed Intersport and Omar. Charlie Murphy the head mechanic is a genius. They definitely know their stuff. Their team of techs have been there for 15-20 years.

 

Coil overs are the simplest thing to install next to a filter. Bring some beers and steaks and I'll install them for you.... Just did my KW's and BBK this weekend....

haha! I volunteered by but real job got in the way! I don't have any real free time for a couple of weeks - though I might be able to pull a random day off of work, but not before the 23rd.
