As long as I don't end up picking my wife up from the hospital again, it will be a better time than last year.

I won't do all three days this year. Will probably follow ALMS and any Porsche club events. I must say, Porsche was a tremendous let down. Didn't even have friggin coffee at the tent. WTFF? With Ford taking first in Daytona, I may just have to roll in the Shelby.

I also will not do all three days. I'm definitely going to do the ALMS day. Might do Friday as well just to get some good pictures of all the cars in the corrals and see all the race teams, etc.

The multi-million dollar loss that the former BGP organizer suffered despite penny-pinching, full grandstands everywhere, a very aggressive "we get a piece of EVERYTHING inside the fenceline" approach and an army of no-cost volunteers - makes me wonder how this new organizer is going to make a LOT more money.

I can only assume that tickets will have to be much more expensive... and they weren't cheap in 2011.

If Im off the ship this year Ill be attending again. Went last year all 3 days and it was a blast. The ALMS was better IMO then the Indy but overall a great event. Even better when you live 2 blocks off the race .... LOL.

If tickets are THAT much more I may end up blowing my budget in Austin, because F1 >> all.

Though if they brought back group C or group B I'd be there!!
