I'd so CSL wheels before the 19" stockers. Wouldn't consider the 7 series wheels IMO.

You can even pay me in installments. Specs below.

Ignore "delta to stock" that relates to when I was comparing to new Z4 stock wheel set. Excuse the dumb dumb question but does e46 M3 have TPMS? if so that would almost for sure be one issue you'd need to deal with if you wanted it functional.
I'm gonna pass on the HREs. Not looking to spend that much money right now, but thanks anyway.

And yes, the car does have TPMS. I check my air pressure pretty regularly so it doesn't really bother me that it wouldn't be functional.

I hear you. I'll find a home for them somewhere.... not often you can jump into a $8k+ wheel/tire set for $2.5k.

The wheels I mentioned are TPMS enabled but the installed sensors almost for sure won't work with your car, and prob. same for whatever wheels you go with unless from e46 M3.... any sensors alreay on a wheel set prob. won't work with your car AND the ones on your current wheels may not fit on other given sets of wheels.... you might want to keep that in mind if you're on a budget as you shop around. New sensors aren't so so expensive but they aren't free either. You should be able to find most of that compatiability and pricing info. on tirerack.com.

^^ Nevermind re TPMS... you said "doesn't bother you".... yeah agreed. TPMS is for people that really should be riding the bus anyway LOL.

VarrStoen sounds scary from the whispers of the internets:
http://jdmchicago.com/forums/showpos...6&postcount=66

...but forum people like to take the one or two big issues and blow them up when there might be 5000 happy customers that never post.

I vote E46 option ones. First M I drove had them and impressive wheel size for an OEM offering at the time. Still looks good today. If you go 7 series you need spacers and ONI CAMBER! lol

I'll read up on Varrstoen and see what negative things are out there...but like any wheel, a couple bad experiences can get way blown out to sound like it's a bigger problem than it actually is. I drive very carefully and avoid pot holes even on my stock 18's that have a pretty thick sidewall (meaning I'm already more careful than I need to be). Rota used to be known for crappy quality but now they're made better and people are running them on BMW and Audi, not just Hondas.

I'd go first set if you are only looking at those two rims. I'd do HREs myself if you had the cash.

If you haven't bought tires yet, Sam and Paul at Radial Tire in Silver Spring just beat Tirrack by $20/tire for my toyo r888s. Their a great shop to work with.

Not sure about how much these wheels are going for but I would save a little and get Forgestar, or Avant Garde (Ruger Mesh) which are about $1400 a set shipped

don't do that terrible wheel bigger than the tire style. I don't get it, and it looks dangerous, and probably is! Keep it a drivers car!!
