Hey guys! I'm putting together a caravan for 6/22. Who's going to be around? Maybe a cruise and some wings again like last time or something.

 

Rollin down with a couple VW guys tomorrow, see you guys there.

 

A pretty good day today in Great Falls.

When I hear someone say they have a Corvette Pace Car, I figure it's one of the many decal 'specials' Chevy has put out over the years. We had the ACTUAL pace car & safety car from the 2003 LeMans 24-hour race.

Here is an interesting car I heard about that I knew very little about. I believe it was called a California Italia? At any rate, I took some iphone pics and thought I post them since the car left quickly before Chris took some nicer pics.

 

A beautiful car! Actually, it's an Intermeccanica Italia, produced by a father-son team. Originally in Italy, they moved in 1981 to Vancouver. This car has a 351 Ford V8. The company now makes Porsche Speedster replicas - one of those shows up at local events occasionally.

Yeah that Italia was very interesting. Only a handful of them in the country. The owner was really cool too.

 

The intermancia is a fabulous car, I have seen it at Katie's before but haven't ever met the owner. One of my all time favorites, glad to see it came out again sad that it came out on a day that I missed

 

^^^ I've seen that car there too, several times...everyone thinks it's a Ferrari and the nice owner explains it to the droves of lookers asking him about the car.

The weather couldn't have been better this morning - crystal clear, high 60's at 6AM.
I got to Katie's right at 6:00AM, and (predictably) wasn't the first. What was surprising was that the front lot filled up amazingly fast. We must have had 50 cars by about 6:20AM. When you get to an event that early, the cars had better be amazing... and they were.
