Bodyshops reviewed EuroPros DV AutoBody
After purchasing my 991, I immediately felt the front end was lacking a lip, therefore I decided to get the SportDesign bumper. I did a lot of research on this forum on body shops and the consensus seemed in favor of both shops. Since the car was purchased from Porsche of Rockville, they actually recommended EuroPros. Therefore I decided to go with them and it was one of the biggest mistakes that I made. After more than 2 months of waiting, I still did not have my bumper installed and was so aggregated that I decided to go with DV Autobody instead and I really wish I had done this from the beginning.
EuroPros:
I dealt with Derrick the owner of EuroPros directly from day one. I met with him and went over what I wanted done. I also explained to him that I wanted to get the bumper on my own from SunCoast since their pricing was much better than the dealer. After meeting him, he became impossible to reach. In the next two months I dealt with other people at the shop and finally a date was set to install the bumper. Prior to that, they ordered the bumper without my approval on their own and I was going to pay higher for the part, but after waiting for so long I just wanted to get it installed, therefore I didn't even argue with them. Finally the day came to install the bumper, it was to be pre-painted prior so that I could pick it up the same day. Car was dropped off, no calls until almost 4PM, I finally call and was told that they were missing the bottom lip and it was going to be ordered and would be a few days. Honestly I was so furious with them for their lack of communication and management that I told to just install my original bumper back and I would pickup the car. I mean how do you not know that it's missing the bottom half while it's being painted? I even had printed out full page color images of the bumper and dropped it off during our initial discussion? and obviously this is was due to the fact that the person who I talked to had disappeared and no one else really knew what they were doing.
DV AutoBody:
I contacted them and did not reveal my experience with EuroPros. I wanted to see how they dealt with things with a fresh start. I made my initial call on a Monday morning and asked for Kevin who is also one of the owners. My call was returned within an hour by him personally, he seemed eager and very interested in doing the project. I explained to him that I was going to get the bumper from SunCoast and he actually recommended I do that since they offer better pricing. We exchanged a few calls and he was extremely detailed on what needed to be done. He even asked me to come by once the bumper was delivered by SunCoast to open the box and go over the contents. I was so surprised when he asked me that without me telling him anything about my past experience with EuroPros where a lip was supposedly missing. Long story short, I had the bumper installed the next week! while I was there, there was a black Aventador, a brand new 458 along with numerous other cars and I spent some time with Kevin chatting about their company history. As busy as this shop is, it's amazing to me the level of service and communication they provide. They do all of the body shop work for the Ferrari/Lambo of Washington and I can see why.
Overall I'm extremely happy with DV Autobody, the paint job came out flawless, it was pre-painted for me within a few days of it's arrival, they had the bumper installed in a day.
If you are looking for a body shop, this is the shop to go to. I'm sure EuroPros may have great quality as well but from my conversation with their staff, they have recently partnered with a Nissan and other dealerships, therefore the amount of business they have is simply too much and you will not get personal service and attention. It's sad as I know these are the guys from WagonWorks and they used to be praised for their quality and service. But I really don't think what I went through was specific to my situation as it's their lack of communication and management that was the issue and it can happen to anyone.

Kevin and his family are fantastic to work with. D&V Auto is the only body shop my family will use as they have done great work on every car we've brought their way. Kevin is a car guy and his passion is obvious when you meet him. Can't say enough nice things about D&V. Glad everything worked out for you OP.
D&V is a great body shop. Took my GF's car there after reading good things about them on here and the service was OUTSTANDING. The insurance company totalled the car but we bought it back and fixed it. Ahmad bent over backwards making sure we understood every step of the process and were satisfied with them. Her car turned out perfect. Will definitely be using them when I repaint the front clip on the M3.
I had a very, very, bad experience with Euro Pros. I would never recommend them. Usually the people that do are recommending them from heresay, and they didn't have any direct contact with them.

Glad you had a great experience with D&V. Kevin is a personal friend of mine and a car guy at heart, which is important. I refer all my clients to him directly, and I know they will be taken care of with the highest level of professionalism and service.
I just recently used D&V to touch up the front of my M5 at which they did a great job. Very happy with their service. Never heard of that other shop though.

Hey guys, this thread is a bit dated but I'm looking looking for a quality shop to repair a little snafu I just had. Is D&V still the place to go? I read one opposing review but generally I've heard the name for awhile and its positive.
Thanks
Jeff
Thanks

Yes, they are still the best in the nova area. Ask for Kevin or Ron mention the forum and they will take good care of you. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for and then some with them.
