Cross Country Auto Rental Ideas!

Hey Folks,

I am considering a cross-country drive with my family, wife and two children 10 and 9. I need to look for a rental vehicle preferably enjoyable for such a drive.
For criteria, I am looking for cost, one-way drop off, room, unlimited miles and lastly fun to drive. I may consider 4wd since we are planning to do this in the spring but I don't think it is necessary.

Let me know if you have any rental company suggestions and recommended vehicles!

The drive would be from Oregon to MD.

Regards,
Loay

You can rent a Mercedes E63 AMG from Hertz. Not sure about the cost, and gas expense would definitely add up quickly, but can you really put a price on your family's happiness?

Chris you are too funny!

Hertz does it absolutely right - they had an R8 in orlando right up front.

I actually rented twice from Hertz' adrenaline line

1. Chevy Camaro SS - San Diego
2. C6 convertible - San Francisco

It was awesome but the mileage per day killed me

I check their site again and their dream line is unreal !
