Minneapolis MN Cars & Coffee next Saturday 7/5/08
Matt Desmond created a group on Flikr just for our event pics. Feel free to load your pics up there so we can have all of them together. Again, stay tuned for the best C&C vid yet and join the Flickr group:

There are a lot of people taking photos at the events.
It would be great to have everyone post to the group so we can have a single spot for photo updates that we can send people to...

Actually, Raj (and his wife) made it to the event, although his car was up on his lift (lucky guy has one in his garage).
They came in his wife's beautiful AMG SLK55!

He purchased an 8pot/4pot Rotora BBK for his car and had the front installed when he found one of the rears didn't fit! As you can imagine he was extremely disappointed! His car is going to undergo another transformation with some really neat body parts - CSL trunk, bumper (like mine used to be below) and carbon fiber roof. He just purchased a really nice set of Volks. Josh has the black M3 Cabrio HPF car and was out of town. He too just bought the same BBK.
Raj's car right before the BBK went on last week (we're friends so I see he car now and then):

My car was slated to go on the carrier with them last October to HPF for the conversion. Instead, right after finishing the body, interior and suspension I removed everything and sold the parts. I was going to purchase a 993tt. Since then I changed my mind and starting over with something different.
Here's what my car looked like up until last October - they'll both follow suit with a similar body kit. Can you say "carbon fiber"?

Gerard, why did you change your car back to the stockish look??? i much prefer the look in the pictures above, that looks KILLER!!! but yes, after the turbos, you will have a sick fast car!!!

Long story but I essentially finished it then realized I wanted to build a 993tt with roughly the same power as the HPF M3. It was set to go on the car carrier with Raj and Josh then I backed out. I had just finished dumping $40k+ in mods, and didn't think it was worth another $23k for the kit since at the time it was still not proven. Actually I still have a few concerns with it since stage II retains the same compression - kind of goes against the laws of physics on a high compression engine. So far though only one has had an issue since it came out last year and that was a DIY install. There are around 15-20 on the road right now. I can tell you having ridden in Raj's M3 that thing is VIOLENTLY fast.
Aside from that it was just a spontaneous thing to remove all the parts except the suspension since others were following suit with what I did. I maintained the theme and purchased OEM CSL headers/cats (not built for US), plus X-pipe, race muffler, race software - it only produced around 385 BHP ~310-315 RWHP.
So that pretty much summed it up - have over $60k in mods in this car, or sell it, but a 993tt and build that. We'll see as I'm not 100% yet but very likely doing it.

There were a few VERY nice Acura NSX's. (my favorite one was a turboed Black one
who's owner was very knowledgeable).
Question: There was a white one there with a 70mm ball bearing turbo (3.0 liter),
who told me that it made over 700 RWHP !!?? Oh, it gets better...this is done at 13 lbs
of boost...Holy effiecient Air Pump, Batman, that makes about 200 more RWHP than my
3.6 liter twin turbo (at the same .9 bar) that have slightly more flow (combined) than that big single.
What am I missing?? Do I need to buy an NSX so that I have a Really fast car?
Also he stated that it had run a 10.9 or 10.5 in the 1/4...You ever tried to go from
10.9 to 10.5 in a street car??? This typically would cost another $10-20 grand...
I just dispise misinformation and want some clarity...
