Im actually trying to help out my sister-in-law, who is interested in a mini cooper base model. I dont know much about this car, but I'm trying to do a little research to help her out. I was wondering what type of discounts should we be expecting on a purchase of a new 08 or even a left-over 07 cooper?

MSRP is pretty much the best you're gonna do. If you're very patient you might be able to score $500 off. If you're very patient and a great negotiator, you might score $1K off, but very unlikely.

 

Doubt there will be any left overs. Most order the car, & wait. Yes, MSRP or very close to it is what you will get.

Base Cooper is around $18k, but can go to the low $30's with options.
