While other people were having fun on New Year Eve, my wife, daughter, and I were buying a Mini at East Bay Mini (Pleasanton, CA).

Since we were getting a basic non-S model, Red/White Top (demanded by my daughter), Auto and Heated seats (demanded by my wife); there weren't any at the dealership back in Dec., so we put in an order for a 2010 model. Finally, it arrived like on 12/30.

I remember test driving an older model (with CVT) and it wasn't as fun to drive. The newer model drives so nicely with plenty of power even on the non-S model with auto. The car now has 600+ miles on it since we got it and able to do 32 MPG so far.

I'm impressed with this little car.

 

Nice, i purchased mine of the 30th as well (new years eve was the next day) - Great fun to drive, still in the break-in period for the engine with just under 500 miles on it right now
