two baby seats in the back??

i am so itching to get a new car. i have looked for a used cooper s and now finnally realized a used one is not so much cheaper than a new one to my spec. but i still don't know if i can fit two car seats in the back. i will have a new born and a two year old. please advise..... thanks.

Chipster is infamous around these parts
I'd imagine that even if you could fit them in there, it would be a giant PIA getting the kids in and out!!

that's exactly what my wife said... is this you honey hidding under someone's user name! i actually thought that a convertible may make that problem better..

can somebody answer this and foward it to my wife...
she wants to trade her c300 (4door) for a new mini s. but i keep on telling her that there will be no room for our 16mo old.

It's possible to fit a Graco snugride infant car seat (rear facing) in the back of a mini, but it is really not suitable for long rides. You have the move the front seat pretty far forward so front passengers will suffer. Also, getting the carrier in and out of the car is a real pain. A clubman might be a good solution, except for the ugliness of the car.
