Mini Cooper Norcal MSRP dealer
Mini Cooper Norcal MSRP dealer
Does anyone know of any dealers in the Norcal area that will sell a new Mini Cooper S for MSRP? I have been to San Fran BMW, Neilo (Sac) BMW, and a couple of other dealers and not one will sell me a car for MSRP. Most want about $3K over MSRP. I flat out refuse to pay above MSRP for anything which includes my current 05 Porsche Carrera S, 05 BMW K1200S, and 03 HD Road King Classic Harley. I am looking for a daily driver and it just blows my mind that dealers expect you to pay more than MSRP (seems to be common here in CA). Please advise or should I just go a head and get a new Honda Civic SI? Looking for a little, sporty, good gas milage car to get me to and from work for around $25K. Thanks in advance.

me and my buddy bought 2 identical cooper s and we still have to pay 1k over invoice. which is the same as buying out of state and have to pay for shipping.....we got ours from mini of concord...adam was our sales person..and waited 2 months...its all because of demand.
East Bay BMW/MINI is the only NorCal dealer selling at MSRP.
But its a 6 month wait for Cooper S. I put a deposit down last November and just got the call to spec my car last week. I should be receiving it end of May.

why not buy it in la and drive it up? negotiate over phone and put a deposit down. personally, i think mini are ugly and are a boy version of the vw bug. who wants a car to be mini and cute?
for new car, i like the new civic coupe, rsx. if you don't mind a used one, i would buy integra type r or gsr OR prelude. Both stopped in 01 and can be had under $10k w low mileage. they'll last 200k mi and provide excellent milage and comparable performance. Parts are dirt cheap too.
