Put the JCW kit on my Cooper S

Hey guys,

As you know, I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S. I've been very happy with the car since the day I picked it up. 3 years have passed and I think it is time that I did a few tweaks to it. I was looking at a magazine the one afternoon and saw an article on a JCW Cooper S - I immediately thought, why don't I do this?! So I went to the BMW dealer the next week and enquired about the kit and so forth. I placed my order and waited for my parts to come in.

First of all, lets take a look at some BEFORE photo's shall we?

I forgot to mention the modifications I plan on doing to it.

First of all, a light tint to the windows. 50% tint on the driver and front passenger windows and a 35% tint on the rest of the windows on the rear.

Some new wheels, I got the rims from BMW.

The spot light kit(like on Italian Job)

JCW Braking package

and lastly the JCW Tuning Kit (210hp)

Here is one more BEFORE photo of the car.

The side profile of the car didn't look right, something was out of place. To me the wheel looked too small for the car, so I decided to put larger profile tyres onto the car. Here is a photo of the car with slightly larger profile tyres. They are Pirelli's.

Also take note of the bolt caps and steel valve cap I bought, makes the car look much neater.

Here is the car at it's current stage. I've just got 1 more thing to do, paint the rear calipers red as well and I'm all done. I must say that BMW did a fanstatic job. Got the car back within 3 days.

The kit really makes a difference to the car, it has just made it that much more fun to drive! The supercharger starts working at around 2500-3000rpm and it only fully awakens at 4500rpm, that's when things become fun The new brakes are also a big difference, the car comes to a stop so effortlessly now, I highly recommend. All in all, this little car is still going to hang around for a while, 17,000 miles on it and still going strong!

Beautiful transformation. The car looked so oridinary before and now it looks like a champ. Very nice mods and it's all factory as well.

Thanks turbo911, I wanted to stick to factory items as it will keep the value of the car up and it is backed by BMW. Plus the parts from the factory look good too!
