Hi folks,

Going to look at and test drive a 2003 996 C4 Cab on Monday. The car has 108k miles. I contacted the shop that serviced the car for the last 70k miles. They remember it was very well maintained and owned by a true enthusiast that upgraded to a 991.

The dealer I'm looking to purchase it from is replacing the clutch and f/w, RMS, upgrading to the IN Engineering ceramic IMS and putting on a new set of tires.

We'll see how it goes on Monday. Wish me luck!

Done deal! They have a bunch of work to do on it, but should be able to pick it up on Saturday if all goes well.

Thanks Jason! I drove it yesterday and it felt really good. It'll be much different once the new set of tires go on there. The clutch felt fine, but they're replacing it along with all the other things I mentioned in my first post. Another thing is the rear windows and the stereo did not work. They will have all that sorted upon delivery. Cannot wait!

 

Finally got it this past Monday. They had some issues with the micro-switch for the roof. I brought it to a Porsche specialist yesterday and had him drive it. He said everything felt great and he also checked all four corners of the suspension. I'm very happy to finally own this car and love driving it! Looking forward to many thousands of great miles in this car.
