I have a 2004 911, carerra and I'm having a problem with my key fob. The doors are not opening with the key fob, I changed the battery and when I press the button , the red light is flashing on the fab , but the doors are not opening. Anyone have any idea of what the problem may be, Thanks

 

Welcome to 6Speed. Could be an issue with either the transmitter, or potentially even the receiver in the door. Do you have another fob that works so to rule out the receiver as the issue?

 

I only have one key, the original owner only had one key available when I purchased the car. I'm planning on taking the car to a dealer in my area, but a new key and programming the key will cost approximately $300.00. Thanks for the information.
