Greetings! I am a longtime Porsche admirer and am finally at a point in life where I am looking to buy my first P-car. I've been into air-cooled VWs since the early 1990s & nearly bought an air-cooled 911 in the late 1990s when my friends made that transition (back when they were very, very affordable). Instead I bought a house and due to my position at General Motors, I bought a Corvette. I've driven Corvettes since 2003 (driven daily, autocross, drag race, HDPE) and am now feeling like a change of pace. I am currently in the market for a 996 Turbo or 997.1 Turbo 6-speed coupe. I decided to finally join this forum rather than just read it as a visitor!
