New Car Enthusiast? Looking for new experiences and maybe a new car
So I've never really been into cars per say, but lately I've gotten the itch. I've always enjoyed driving, but never really sought out new cars and driving experiences.
My dad had an 89 integra with a stick shift growing up, and I always wanted it, but he traded it in when it started falling apart. So I had some friends teach me stick when I finally had the money for my own car, and I got myself a mazda 3, which was a blast.
Now I've got a family and need a bigger car, but I'm not giving up my manual. I got a forester, but compared to the mazda, it's not a lot of fun.
I managed to get a manual cayenne, second gen, and I love it, but the premium gas is a killer for my commute.
So I've got a few questions.
1. How do I go out and get new driving experiences without spending all of my money? I wish I could just go into car dealerships and drive all their cars, but I dont want to waste anybody's time, and I dont have time for that.
2. What's out there that can haul a family + a dog, with a manual transmission, that's not gonna break the bank on gas.

Find a nicely used Honda Jazz. This will address your concerns. Can comfortably fit your growing family and dog. Reliable, easy to work on, frugal on gas and a blast to red line through its 6 speed tranny. Happy hunting!!!
Interesting, I have heard those are pretty efficient with their space. I assumed there wouldn't be enough room in the back for the dog, but maybe I need to open my search up to hatches. I'll have to check out that one and the mazda3 hatch. Thanks!
